A Federal Election has been called for April 28; as such the Winnipeg South Centre NDP is having a nomination meeting via Zoom this Wednesday March 26 at 7:30pm. One must be a paid member to attend. For more info: info@winnipegsouthcentre.ca
We have two candidates for nomination: Josef Estabrooks and Jorge Requena Ramos. There is information below on these candidates.
How will this work?
30 minutes after the nomination meeting has ended, members will receive an email containing their voter credentials and instructions for voting. Members will have 24 hours to submit their vote.

Josef Estabrooks has lived and worked in South Centre for 16 years, employed at McNally Robinson Booksellers.
He has lived in Winnipeg since 1981 and is approaching his 45 birthday.
He is a father of 3, soccer coach, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Justice and Law Enforcement.

A nomination meeting has been scheduled for nominating a Winnipeg South Centre NDP candidate in the upcoming Federal election.
When: 7:30 p.m. Mar 26, 2025

The election was called; as such, the nomination meeting will be online with online voting.
At our nomination meeting on Sunday, February 26, 2023 Julia Riddell was nominated as our candidate for the upcoming by-election. Mark Wasyliw, MLA for Fort Garry, nominated her and Jagmeet Singh, our Federal Leader, congratulated her and spoke of the significant impact of the NDP in pushing the minority Government to pass legislation to improve the lives of Canadians.
