These two speakers will share their experiences running as candidates and will help lead some discussion about other current events in Canadian politics.

Charmaine Borg, NDP MP for Terrebonne-Blainville, will be in Winnipeg to dicuss issues of importance to youth and her Private Member’s bill to restore funding for the Katimavik Program.
We had a turnout of about 25 members. The elections produced a full executive with gender parity.
Phil Jarman reported on the Spring Election and will be posting on the Web site an analysis of the election results comparing this election with 2008. The analysis does show that the the NDP did not have a significant effect on the Conservative win. Most of our gains appear to have come from the Green Party.
Pat Martin talked about our new Caucus and how impressed he is with its new members. We had a lively discussion of various Federal issues.
